The Rainmaker: An Inspirational 3 Day Event

The Rainmaker is the culmination of 17 years delivering business development for professionals. Designed to ensure business growth The Rainmaker is a fast-paced, motivational, outcome focussed, Action Learning journey from the informal coffee to the Boardroom pitch. It is a Tough Love track to better contacts, more clients and increased profits.

Day One: Attitude, Approach & Action
On day one we focus on your Attitude, Approach and Actions because you need to maximise the results from your precious business development time. Using data from your pre-event questionnaire you will:

  • take effective action earlier and more effectively in the BD process
  • improve your approach to BD activities and dramatically improve your conversion rate
  • flex your Social Style in order to improve two-way communication with prospects
  • achieve better engagement and deeper relationships with clients for increased sales

Key take away: Sales solve everything; how much can you love selling?

Day Two: Building Rapport: Making The Emotional Connection
On day two you will find creative ways of connecting that will ensure your words carry weight and stay longer in the mind.  We call it 30-3-30: whether you have 30 seconds, three minutes or 30 minutes you must always be “pitch ready”. Using digital video technology we test your attitude to risk in the room and you will:

  • connect bespoke benefits to relevant features for all your products and services
  • create six compelling ways to pitch in 30 seconds, from the Factual to the Shocker
  • flex your style in the moment and become uniquely memorable
  • deliver memorably with energy, spontaneity and creativity

Key take away: Pitching it six different ways in 30 seconds; are you ready for that?

Day Three: Advancing The Client Meeting
The brochures, the website and the dinners are money spent with one aim in mind: to get in the room. So don’t be average when you get there. The four stages of the client meeting show you how to:

  • be curious in the small talk and outstanding at rapport building
  • suspend self interest when uncovering needs
  • show agility, flexibility and creativity in overcoming objections
  • assertively Advance to mutual advantage

Key take away: We bet you are a decent Relationship Builder but can you be a Challenger?
